Return of the Garnier campaign
After representing the range of “Fructis Style” gel products in 2010, Diego Benaglio, the goalkeeper for the Swiss football team, has recently become the new ambassador for “Garnier Fructis” Shampoos. Garnier Switzerland took the opportunity to start a community of fans in social media. They wanted to start a facebook page specific to the Swiss market in French and German.

The campaign consisted of a series of four video spots, two were posted on wildly different social networks. After the first phase, videos were posted on the official Garnier Switzerland YouTube channel. To further the campaign, a Facebook fan page was created to bring together all fans of the brand on the same site. They could participate in a contest with many prizes that could be won by submitting their football video, which was voted on by fans, as well as Garnier, and Diego Benaglio. A Twitter account was also used to relay the various activities of the campaign.
Finally, videos have been seen by over 85,000 people and the fan page accounted for 6’262 fans at the end of the two month introductory period.
