A new tune for Reuge

The LABEL.ch team is happy to announce the launch of the new Reuge music box website.

You can order these exceptional, luxury products immediately by contacting Reuge directly, however, note that in the beginning of 2012, the company will offer its products for sale at its new online store. But what better time,  since the holiday season has arrived, to rediscover one of the joys of childhood by savoring a few pages of the magical world of Reuge music boxes. The Swiss manufacturer of prestigious music boxes now has a site precisely suited to its style and personality. The goal of the website redesign was to restore the emotion that these extraordinary music boxes emit.

To accomplish this, we designed our own information architecture to easily make a direct contact with the senses. The traditional catalogue was replaced by highlighting a selection of flagship products from each universe.  Also, the menu never exceeds two levels and equal importance was attributed to visual content, text and sound.

The design was also carefully thought out to enhance the sensual content: the Reuge universe unveils, piece-by-piece; in such a way that everyone can build his own story. The structure of the pages is sufficiently rigid so there is no need to adjust your attention from one page to another.  The navigation, fully lateral, provides a user experience that is fun and remains the same with all supports, from computers to mobile phones.  And, since the music at Reuge is never monotonous, there are more surprises to come…

It was also essential that the site could be easily edited and modified by Reuge, and is in several languages. This was accomplished with Content Management Software called Umbraco.
